Summary: | This present research aims to develop understanding of a particular student’s performance and to identify the differences between the use of strategies between groups of students. Adopting quantitative method, it was found that the most frequent vocabulary learning strategies that learners employed belonged to the cognitive category. The study also revealed that weak students have little or no information on highly interacting means like Flashcards and interaction with native speakers while the average and good students are more perceptive in this utilization. Thus, this study will assist second year English students on how to employ various VLSs for their English learning and at the same time, suggest future directions of research. |
